Website Makeover Services
In the world of technology, nothing is as reliable as change.  If your web site was designed more than two or three years ago, the look and feel of your site may already be out dated.  If your web site does not convey the professional image that your business deserves, you may want to consider re-designing your web site.  Travel eMarketing specializes in re-designing websites to enhance the functionality and visual appeal of your website.

Makeover Check List
Please review the list of "best practices" below and see if your current site meets some or all of these criteria:

1.  Search Engine Friendly Navigation
If your site utilizes all the latest technology, such as flash entry pages, chances are good that your site it is not designed for search engine compatibility.  Many web designers create great looking sites with no regard for search engine marketing, but what good is a "cool" site if no one can find it?  If your site utilizes any of the technology below, you may want to update your navigation:
    •  Flash entry page (movies)
    •  Drop down menus (menus that pop up when you scroll over)
    •  Image maps (photos that are divided into clickable regions)
    •  Rollover buttons (buttons that change color when you scroll over)

2.  Search Engine Optimization
The top search engines use multiple criteria to rank your web site.  Some things that are considered are keyword meta tags, page titles, and keyword density.  If your web designer did not incorporate all of these factors into your site design, you may want to update these components of your site:
    •  Keyword meta tags
    •  Description meta tags
    •  Unique, keyword heavy page titles
    •  Sub-headings using your target keywords
    •  Content designed for optimal keyword density
    •  Comprehensive site map
    •  Text link navigation

3.  Destination Information
While customers visit your web site for lodging information, they also want information about your destination and what there is to do.  Your web site should sell the entire vacation experience - not just your lodging accommodations.  This section of your site should include weather information from Weather.com,

Visit www.GatlinburgPigeonForgeVacationGuide.com to see a destination information site created by Travel eMarketing that links to our client's lodging site www.CabinFeverVacations.com.  The goal of this destination information site is to rank well under geo city keywords, such as "Gatlinburg TN" and "Pigeon Forge TN".  These keyword search phrases are searched far more often than lodging keywords, such as "Gatlinburg Hotels" or "Gatlinburg Rentals".

4.  Email Collection Strategy
One of the most effective ways to communicate with your existing customer base.  ways to collect your customers' email addresses is to create a pop-up window that is tied to a database.

For an example, visit our client www.ThePalmsHotel.com to see a pop up window that gives customers the ability to segment their message into categories: special rates, travel agents, meeting planners, wedding information, etc.

5.  Contact Information
Your toll free number should be listed at the top and bottom of every page on your web site, as well as on a contact information page that should include:
    •  Mailing address
    •  Physical address
    •  Toll free number
    •  Phone number
    •  Fax number
    •  Email address

Every page of your web site should contain your contact information
